Although this is not the first time the Piano Classics name has been emblazoned on a recording, it is the first time a whole collection of this ilk has been assembled. For fans of this repertoire, this is an exciting time. They will certainly be anxiously awaiting the release of the rest of the series. Considering that this is the label’s first foray into this genre, it’s no surprise that this collection has already accumulated a respectable number of awards and accolades.

Some of the best piano transcriptions from this collection are Cinderella’s Waltz, No. 37. This waltz takes place just before Midnight, and it is sinister and effective. The piece also contains arpeggiated left hand rhythms and frequent accidentals.
