Mastering astral projection: What is the astral dimension?

Arts Entertainments

As with any other phenomenon, if one is interested in mastering some skill or ability, it must first be well presented for what it is in its essence. So, as a first step in our series on mastering astral projection, here are some answers to what the astral plane actually is.

The astral is the closest dimension to the physical world. He overlays it like a huge mental web, trapping and manifesting every thought. It is a parallel plane and is created by the collective consciousness of this and other worlds. It contains all the thoughts, dreams, and memories of all living beings in the world, living or dead, past or future. The laws of sympathetic attraction, known as “like attracts like”, make it possible for everyone to reach this enormous space of mental matter. These oceans of thoughts may be called astral worlds, astral planes, astral sub-planes, or astral realms.

The astral dimension is mainly composed of so-called astral matter, described above also as mental matter. It is very sensitive to thoughts and can take any shape or form. All of these creations can be so amazingly perfect as to be indistinguishable from this reality.

The best way to explain astral matter/mind is to make a comparison between astral matter and some unexposed high-speed photographic film. If you expose it to light, focused by the camera lens, a perfect image of reality will be instantly etched onto the film through the film’s chemical reaction to light. If you expose the astral matter to thought, focused by the lens of the mind, you will have a perfect picture of the realities instantly formed from the matter of the astral mind by the reaction of this matter to thought. However, the complexity and durability of any creation in the astral world depends on the force of the thought that makes the creation.

Astral Dimension is a world similar to “Alice in Wonderland”. Everything seems objective and real, but everything else is fluid and changing. Everything can be found there in the astral: from basic and rough levels full of sexual energy to incredibly beautiful and serene places full of spiritual beauty and harmony. Time stretches out and distorts. For example, an hour in the astral may seem like only a few minutes in physical reality. Compared to the physical world, the astral has a much higher vibrational level. It is similar to playing a videotape at twenty or more times normal speed, although this is not visible when you are “in”.

Moving into the astral dimension is usually a hit or miss affair for most astral projectors. It takes a lot of experience to make planned astral travel to specific goals or realities.

There are an infinity of planes, realities and pools of dreams in the astral. During a deep sleep, or in a lucid dream, our subconscious mind usually creates its own personal dream scenario, just for you. When you realize that you are dreaming, you are able to control it. In this way, you take control of your powerful subconscious mind. Without a powerful controlling mind, your custom created personal astral reality will change. You can begin to tune in to other sympathetic parts of the astral dimension, and the reality you find yourself in will mix with other realities, taking on different aspects and meanings.

In a conscious astral projection into the astral dimension, you can tune into any possible part of it and travel to most different realities, other dream pools, or a complex mix of many. There are different astral projection techniques, but they all involve some method of “confusing” the subconscious mind, tricking it into a different astral realm. Some practitioners look at their hands and see them melt. Others can rotate, causing specific reversals from left to right. All of these methods are capable of disorienting the mind and deceiving the subconscious levels of your being.

There are not many successful ways to describe the astral dimensions in terms of having a complete picture of them. As there are infinite possibilities and possible worlds created by infinite possible thoughts, the only thing that one can recommend to others is: the astral dimension can only be experienced. It is an ultimate experience of existence.
