Williams returns in time from his foot injury to face the US Open

Serena Williams’ agent said Tuesday that the thirteen-time Grand Slam winner is recovering from her foot injury and hopes to attend the US Open, fully fit to play. Jill Smoller, Williams’ agent, assured in a phone interview that Serena is healing quickly and is taking time to relax and improve for the next big title and also added that she will soon start her training session.

The ranking leader had undergone foot surgery in Los Angeles last week to repair severe injuries to her right foot. She this Tuesday she posted on her twitter account that she is totally tired of the resting phase as it is her fifth day of bed rest for her.
