It is Ainol Electronics, a Chinese company, which makes the Novo 7 series of Android tablets. Since the screen size of these tablets is 7 inches, the company has given the name Novo 7 to this series of computers. It was in June 2012 when the company launched Ainol Novo 7 Tornados. Let’s take a look at some of the features of these tablets.

Before Ainol Novo 7 Tornados, the company manufactured Novo 7 Paladin, which was the world’s first Android 4.0 tablet. The company launched it in the second half of 2011. But, as far as the Ainol Novo 7 series is concerned, the first to be manufactured were Novo 7 Basic and Novo 7 Advanced and the company launched them during the first part of 2011.

The company introduced other Ainol Novo models such as Novo 7 Mars and Novo 7 Elf2 along with Novo 7 Tornados. They all come with ARM processors. The internal storage capacity of these tablets is 8 GB. As the name implies, all three tablets have 7-inch screens.

You may be wondering if there is a difference between Novo 7 Tornados and the other Ainol Novo tablets. The basic difference is in the speed of the Central Processing Unit or CPU. There is also a difference in screen resolution. Common features on all three tablets are that the processors in all three are ARM processors, the internal storage is the same, and all three tablets have 7-inch displays. But, if you see the difference in screen resolutions, Tornado comes with an 800×480 pixel screen and Mars comes with a 1024×600 pixel screen. Tornado and Mars have 1GHz single-core processors, but Elf 2 comes with 1.5GHz dual-core processor. But, Elf 2’s screen is 1024×600 pixels, which is the same as Mars.

According to experts, all Novo 7 tablets are low-end models. This is because its specifications are lower than other contemporary tablets. If you compare the prices of other tablets with those of the Novo 7 models, you will find that the Novo 7 tablets are priced lower. All Novo 7 tablets are Wi-Fi compatible. But there is no 3G support built into any of the Novo 7 tablets.

The Novo 7 series tablets use the updated Android 4.0.3 v1.0 from Ainol. In late March 2012, the company released this updated software. This software is capable of fixing almost all firmware v4.0.3 v0.9 errors. Ainol released this firmware during the first week of March 2012.
