When is a brownie not just a brownie? When it’s a quick and easy chocolate cake, of course!
If you are like most people, you love brownies. But when you’re in the mood for something a little “sweeter” than a regular brownie, make this quick and easy fudge cake, which is a cross between a regular brownie and a creamy fudge. It’s even delicious enough to serve in company if you dress it up a bit (see note below).
QUICK AND EASY FUDGE FOOT
1 C. sugar
1/4 teaspoon flour
4 heaping tablespoons. cocoa or 2 sq. melted chocolate
Blend the above ingredients, then add:
1/2 teaspoon butter, melted
2 whole eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Form into greased 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cold. Place in the refrigerator before serving. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
NOTE: Top each cake slice with a layer of ice cream or whipped cream and a fresh berry or chocolate chips for garnish. Swirl chocolate syrup on each plate and lightly sprinkle the entire serving with a little sifted cocoa powder.
For a hot fudge brownie ice cream, warm up some hot syrup. Top a slice of brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, then pour hot fudge sauce over the ice cream and sprinkle on some pecan chunks.
Wow! Now you have a dessert that is definitely “not just a brownie.” Now you’ve got an awesome Fudge Pie brownie dessert that’s perfect for even the biggest dinner guests (you don’t have to tell them it was quick and easy).
