Eminem’s story is similar to his songs, he needs a bit of censorship. Some may not be appropriate for those who are seen as too young, but here I think it’s important to see why his music, and consequently Eminem himself, seems so angry. Everywhere you look in his life, from his tough childhood with a cruel and unstable mother, to his well-publicized rocky relationship with his wife Kim, you see Eminem rapping about what he knows. His life is the subject of his music and he makes no excuses. But a tough upbringing only propelled him to stardom, as can be read in magazines like The Source and XXL. Eminem took the humble beginnings from him and built a career.
Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers) was born on October 17, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri, where he lived for twelve years until moving to Detroit. He never had much of a chance to make friends by moving every two months because his mother kept getting evicted for non-payment. Eminem went to school until the ninth grade, where he failed three times before dropping out. He then continued to fight for that record deal to make him famous. While trying to achieve his goal, little Haile Jade Scott was born on December 25, 1995 to his girlfriend Kim Scott. (Eminem Home Page) Eminem continued to rap after the birth of his daughter who entered the 97 Rap Olympics in Los Angeles which produced 1,500 for the 1st place winner. Eminem came furiously in second place because he desperately needed the money not knowing that some producers had seen him from Interscope. He finally got the chance to show what he’s made of with Dr. Dre, Dr. Dre was so impressed after hearing Eminem’s freestyle on a Los Angeles radio station that he organized a search for the Michigan rhymer. The two hit it off instantly, recording four songs in the first six hours of work, three of which made it onto their debut LP. (Eminem Bio.) Now that he’s officially doing it, Marshall and Dre set out to make their second LP. The album became the Marshall Mathers LP and won 3 Grammy Awards and was the first rap album to be nominated for ‘Album of the Year’, selling over 8 million records in the US alone. (Eminem Bio.) Eminem continues to find success with the partners of his who started his career for him, though he continues to face many difficult moments between the media, his mother, and the long-troubled relationship between him and his girlfriend. After they broke up, they had obviously still talked, either about their relationship or for the sake of his daughter Hailie, who means more to Eminem than anyone else in the world at this point in his life. I wanted to be a family to Kim and Hailie and raise my daughter the right way and not upset her like my father did me. My family is everything I have fought for and everything I have tried to protect. The only thing that scares me is that they will take my girl away from me. If my mom is fucking cruel enough, knowing she didn’t help me get to where I am, trying to take food out of my mouth and my daughter’s mouth, trying to take everything I have, then I’m not going to stop at this album. She’s always been after me, and now she knows I have money, so she’s not going to be left alone. I know it’s not nice to say that about your mother, but unfortunately it’s true. (Chuck Weiner) Eminem has so much hatred towards his mother that he has accumulated in the last years of his life that he will do anything to keep Hailie happy and maintain a healthy relationship between the two of them. His mother, on the other hand, can’t seem to forgive because of all the complaining and trouble she has caused him.
Eminem has taken a psychological 360 degree turn throughout his life. From the fights and confusion with his mother, he never met his father until he was one of the biggest success stories in rap history. The best example is Eminem’s anger management experiment, after he started getting up, he would get feedback from people saying “You’re white, why are you rapping?” and “Go play Rock and Role” and said that made him angrier and angrier. and he emphasized it throughout his lyrics. Eminem was probably born as a child without chemical imbalances, but after his mother put him through hell after he grew up, he may have a chemical imbalance and can’t control some of his emotions that he feels when people disrespect him. . . When introduced to him on TV, he seems like he’s always sad about something that’s always bothering him, that he can’t be proud of his accomplishments, happy to be where he is, and has a lot to do with his childhood and recent terrible interactions. he has had with friends, family and rivals.
