Five basic reasons why people won’t buy lap dances from you

If a stripper is good at her craft, you will NEVER feel manipulated.

Basically, there are 5 basic reasons why people won’t buy from you: out of need, out of money, out of rush, out of desire and out of trust. In a strip club setting, non-necessity doesn’t really apply. This is the old school thinking that we only buy what we need. If that were true, then the economy wouldn’t be in a credit crunch and someone making 30K per year wouldn’t have an HDTV that makes up 10% of their annual income.

No money can be a complicated subject. Sometimes clients honestly don’t have money (or enough). You can use all the techniques in the world, but you can’t make money in some cases. However, in other cases, the stripper’s job is to become a shopping assistant for the customer. The shopping assistant helps the customer to get what he wants. The client wants to go to VIP, but he spent his limit on dances with other girls before meeting you. Well, as a shopping assistant, it’s his job to devise a strategy to help him get what he wants. What I do is negotiate half an hour instead of an hour. Or if he doesn’t drink alcohol, I don’t force him to buy a bottle of champagne. People buy what they want, when they want it more than they want the money it costs. In other words, when I help a client choose which VIP experience they want, I know they want to go VIP more than the $200, $400, or $2,000 it will cost them.

No rush Time is of the essence in the strip club environment. I lost sales because I was called to the stage, or to a performance, and another girl walked in at the right time and stole my client! Just kidding, I’ve never used that silly excuse. I don’t lose sales with other girls. I lose sales because I don’t create a sense of urgency to “buy now.” I also realize that if I can’t close a sale before I have to leave, and some other girl can close it in my absence… then it was never my sale to begin with.

The fourth reason people don’t buy from you is due to a lack of desire. They really don’t want what you’re selling. This has two connotations in the strip club scene. First is the connotation of contact. Unfortunately, some clients just want to get the most for their money and are looking for more naughty dancers. They have no desire for a non-contact aerial dance. Other clients are looking for a pretty girl they can talk to and make them feel special for a few hours, and they don’t mind paying a premium for privacy. This is the product I sell and these are the customers who buy from me. The second connotation is more literal. Some guys just aren’t “strip club guys” and aren’t interested in buying lap dances or going to VIPs. This often happens with bachelor parties and birthdays – they came to hang out with friends and be social, but they’re just not shoppers.

The biggest reason people don’t buy from you is No Trust. According to a study conducted by the New York Sales and Marketing Club, 71% of people who buy a product do so because they like, trust and respect you. This is why manipulators will NEVER achieve a successful long-term sales career. The manipulator burns a bridge every time the relationship with a client ends. I have built some very lasting relationships with my clients. Why? Because they trust me. I don’t lie to you. I don’t have to manipulate them into buying from me. They know that I am married. They know I’m not going to go home or to their hotel room with them after hours. And most importantly, they know that I am not going to rip them off.
