I’m from Ron and Coral down the Armadale trail

and when I was young in bed I didn’t stay.

I’m from Dampier with little brother Dave

together we had a lot of close shaves.

I’ma wear an army uniform

Dressing in the right gear would become my norm.

I’m from sweet sister Debra, in September ’73

Oh, how our lives have been enriched even though we didn’t see you.

I’m from Dampier, to Perth, with little brother Matt

poor kid in the middle seat sat down.

I’m football in winter and summer for cricket

Gee, I didn’t love taking a wicket!

I’m from farting to advanced in math

Yes, years 7 and 8 were filled with all kinds of dramatizations.

I’m from Countdown and KISS, Pink Floyd and U2

I’ve always loved music, especially when I’m sad.

I’m from Karratha, a good place to grow

with classmates, whose names all ended in ‘Y’ or ‘O’.

I’m from squats, bench presses and chin

bodybuilding and good times and other kinds of sins.

I’m from the fun of the Falcons footy and Salt cricket club

That goal from Taylor, 50 meters of running!

I’m from pumps and diesel engines and iron ore screens.

But the job now involves sharing the coffee beans.

I am from the nineties and I have three beautiful girls.

those dance concerts and curly wigs.

I’m from Amy and Zoe and Rhi

what blessings in their lives I have been privileged to see.

I am of separation, divorce and devastation

but luckily God designed my restoration.

I am of God, who restarted my course

the passion to serve others became my life force.

I’m from Sarah, from the Brown family

Solid as a rock, the jewel in my crown.

I am writing to unravel enigmas

passion to defend all kinds of stigmas.

I’m from Ethan, our little darling

right now, he is one of those that I like to be around.

I am from Nathanael, the preciousness of loss.

But I have learned that life comes from death on the cross.

So … I am from son and grandson to husband to father

And there is no other life that I prefer

Now to all of you, who have been important to me

love is reciprocal, I know you will agree.

Thanks.
