God has not called people to seek him in vain. It is worth walking in love in obedience to the word of God. Walking in God’s love not only gives you eternal life in heaven but also great earthly benefits. These benefits are very important if you want to enjoy victory and success in life.
Because this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And His Commandments Are Not Burdensome-1 John 5:3 (NIV)
As for I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you will possess – Deuteronomy 30:16 (NIV)
Walking in God’s love is walking in God’s commandments, in obedience to His words. God is love and all born of God are expected to love, because it is proof that they know God. God called us to bless us and just as you obey him you enjoy the benefits that come with obedience to God.
Benefits of walking in love:
one. injuries
Walk in love and you will attract God’s blessings to you. It is automatic, in such a way that when you love your neighbor as Jesus loves, showers of blessings are showered on you. Therefore, if you want to experience the wonderful blessings of God, the best thing you can do is love unconditionally.
2. Identification with Jesus
You identify with Jesus when you walk in love. Love is the symbol of Christianity. The summary of the New Testament is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself. Obeying this command sets you apart as a follower of Christ.
3. Destruction of fear and torments.
The man who walks in iniquity has every reason to fear and be tormented, but not the one who walks in love. He is clean before God and men, so he has the right to God’s protection over his life and everything that belongs to him. He will not have to fear nor will he be tormented since God is on his side: because if God is for you, who can be against you?
Four. perfection of love
As the saying goes, “Practice makes perfect,” walking in love perfects your love. The more you show love to people, the easier it becomes and the more you want to extend your love to many others.
5. Duplication of Jesus on earth
Perfected love makes us live like Jesus in this world. That means living a life of victory, success, and abundance; a life free from sickness and disease, and a life filled with joy and peace, etc. Therefore, you don’t have to wait until you get to heaven to be like Jesus. Walking in the love of God confers that honor on you.
6. Trust in the day of judgment
A walk in love builds confidence that you will be accepted by God on the day of judgment: you will be at peace, without shame or reproach. You will not be afraid of death because you are sure of eternity with Jesus.
7. the presence of god
You are the bearer of the presence of God when you walk in the love of God. Both Jesus and the Father make their home with you when you walk in love. And when you have the presence of God, victory is assured.
8. joy and pleasure
Joy and pleasure are also benefits of walking in love. You experience joy when you show love to another person. You are also pleased to contribute to the destinies of many other people.
9. answered prayers
Those who walk in love, in obedience to God’s word, also receive answered prayers. God’s ears are open to your prayers because they please him.
10 Contentment
The love of God will constrain you from covetousness. You will be content with what you have knowing that walking in obedience to God’s word draws His blessings to you. Therefore, what you do not currently have, you will have when the need arises.
God has commanded us to walk in love and He has promised to bless everyone who obeys this instruction. The above benefits can be yours if you obey the commandment to love. And while you’re at it, your future is secured for the better.
