Chris Brown and Rihanna – Domestic violence finally in the spotlight

Arts Entertainments

Since the “Chris Brown and Rihanna” situation, as they call it, the news has been non-stop on the criminal charges he faces Chris Brown. While it is a really sad and unfortunate situation for both Chris Brown and Rihanna, my problem is what about the millions of others who are abused every day? Yes, I know that advertising comes from the fact that the theses are two of the most popular artists in the world right now, what with the aim of women who are dealing with this condition every day? in fact, probably right at this very moment. Rihanna could have walked away from the position at any time, and no one should judge it’s, drank what about women who can not walk away? Domestic violence is not new, purpose Now that is two well-known musical artists, is like the release of a new album: Chris Brown and Rihanna – Domestic violence finally in the spotlight.

Statistics from the Institute on Domestic Violence have reported that: Five percent of all victims of domestic violence are women; more than 500,000 women are harassed by their partner each year; 5.3 million women are abused each year; and 1,232 women are murdered Every year by intimate partner year. These numbers are staggering and when do you think 1,232 women die each year, that is, three women a day lose their lives to violence.

I give Rihanna credit for actually reporting abuse this time, as she mentioned that it has happened in the past. I wonder had she not reported it this time would she have gone, and how many other unreported incidents have there been. There’s an old adage that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, so I wonder if the same applies to puppies. The rising rate of domestic violence among young adults and even teens is out of control and a bit scary.

I’m not a Chris Brown basher. I actually love his music and I think he is an extremely talented young man, the wrong purpose is wrong and he was completely wrong. This isn’t Ike & Tina Turner, nor is it the ’60s, when people thought it was okay for a man to slap his wife from time to time. It wasn’t right then and it’s not right now. This is 2009, and people are actually going to jail for what is now called “assault.”

It is not for me to judge anyone: my thoughts are prayers directed to Those who do not have the nerve to speak: the women, children and men who sometimes live with violent partners. Perhaps with all the publicity surrounding this very serious issue, additional funds will be made available for counseling, education, shelter, or even legal help for those in need. There is always a way out of a situation. Taking the first step seems to be the biggest difficulty.

I can’t begin to imagine what goes through one’s mind when faced with this dilemma, and I don’t want to. My motto is, if it doesn’t work and you can’t fix it, leave. While it is easier said than done, in this particular case of two young successful constantly in the spotlight, it seems that there might be an easier way to solve any problems they might have had. I hope they can both heal from the wounds they have both suffered, physically and emotionally. Yes, I say both because this incident has had and will have an impact on Chris’ career. More importantly, I hope this unfortunate incident sheds some light and offers a way out for those not in the spotlight, whose goal is to be abused too often.
