I decided to create this simple poof ponytail while heading my freshman year of high school. I’m going to be a senior next year and I’ve been wearing this style a lot. This easy ponytail is so cute and it stayed in place for the whole game I was cheering on. Being a flyer I understand the difficulties of finding a good hairstyle that stays.
During the summer I also like to wear this high ponytail. It’s perfect because the poof keeps the hair out of my face. I wear this hairstyle to the beach too. It is a stylish ponytail that can be worn as a casual or dressy look. These are the steps I use when creating this hairstyle.
Here are the items you will need
teasing comb
– hair spray
– Forks
– Hair tie
– bow (optional)
Follow these seven easy steps to create this cute High Ponytail with Poof hairstyle.
Step one: Section the bangs or the hair at the front of the head (this section will become the pouf or bump).
Second step: Then, using a hair tie, put the rest of your hair into a loose ponytail or bun.
Step three: Comb the sectioned hair (the bangs or the hair at the front of the head) until it is the volume you like.
Step four: Smooth the top of the pouffe with a comb. (Make sure to smooth out slightly so you don’t take away too much volume.) Next, attach bobby pins to the sides of the poof. (They should end up meeting in the middle of the poof)
step five: Pull out the ponytail and comb the rest of your hair a bit. (This adds some volume to your ponytail.) This step is optional, but I think it makes this ponytail look even more adorable.
step six: Next, lightly style your hair into a high ponytail. The last thing you will do is tie with an elastic.
Step seven (optional): Place your bow of joy close to the ponytail (the closer it is to the elastic, the less noticeable the hair tie will be). To get more volume in your ponytail, take a little tease.
