Nintendo System – Wii The revolution has begun

Shopping Product Reviews

Although I haven’t really been a video game lover for years, and hadn’t tried the new Nintendo System Wii, I did learn some of the finer points of playing “real” tennis, playing David Cranes tennis on an old Nintendo. Console, many years ago. I found out the specifics of the spin and bend of the ball on the “real” tennis court by playing a video game!

Although that’s really the only game I’ve ever played, I was very excited when my daughter came to visit me and brought her new Nintendo System Wii with her.

I now consider myself a 100% Nintendo Wii convert! While reading my first limited review of the new Nintendo System Wii, I found myself questioning the motion-reactive controls (remote and nunchuck) and the magic wand that you needed to place in front of or on top of the TV. Not only that, but reports about the Nintendo System Wii’s graphics looked awful.

Would the Nintendo System Wii be able to compete in a gaming domain where, every time you play NBA 2007 on a PlayStation 2, you can see the beads of sweat on Shaq’s realistic facial expression?

The Nintendo System Wii features a tiny, quiet console and fits just about anywhere. The PlayStation 3 is comparatively huge and harder to hide. Sony has made some strange decisions when it comes to its flagship console, and it lacks the innovation of the Nintendo System Wii, in many ways, both aesthetically and functionally. The Nintendo System Wii beats Sony in almost every department.

Despite my reluctance regarding the Nintendo System Wii wand/remote control, there is no awkwardness or embarrassment regarding them. The remote and nunchuck controls are logical, and the Nintendo System Wii provides full on-screen instructions should you ever get confused. The PlayStation 3, on the other hand, doesn’t offer an equal controller or progressive simplicity of use.

The Nintendo System Wii is to be commended for launching a $300 game console that doesn’t forget an entire generation of users. The Nintendo System Wii arrives configured to play all GameCube games and includes hidden ports for GameCube controllers. Although Sony didn’t make the backwards compatibility mistake, this is one of the problems with Xbox, many of the newer games don’t work properly on Xbox 360.

The Nintendo System Wii is sinking into our culture in many ways, aside from the ease of use of the Nintendo System Wii, it has many other great facets. The fact that there is the potential to burn calories and sweat is a revolution in itself. Companies are now designing public rooms that you can rent out for parties that are set up for the best Nintendo System Wii experience. I’ve also seen reports of gyms installing Nintendo System Wii systems for their clients to use as a warm-up before their workout.

Ultimately, the Nintendo System Wii is poised to revolutionize society like no game console has before.
