There are some wonderful places in the Piccadilly and St James regions of London. These include Piccadilly Circus, Burlington Arcade, St James Church, Royal Academy of Arts, Buckingham Palace, and the Queen’s Galley.

St James’s Church is one of the churches that Sir Christopher Wren designed for London and the one he liked best. Its interior contains the work of the great carver Grinling Gibbons. Among these works are the angels of the organ case, the font of the Garden of Eden and the altarpiece. The church has a cafeteria and a patio. The courtyard is used as a place for the craft market and the antique market. Sometimes there are lunchtime recitals for music lovers to enjoy. The church usually has many events throughout the year.

The Royal Academy, founded in 1768, is the oldest fine arts institution in the country. It holds annual summer exhibitions showcasing around 1,200 new works by established and unknown artists. This exhibition provides an opportunity for all artists, established or unknown, to present their work. This popular summer exhibition has been held for more than 200 years. The Academy also hosts prestigious traveling art exhibitions that are often packed with visitors. The Sackler Galleries are used for traveling exhibitions. There are two shops that sell products inspired by the current exhibitions. In addition, the shops also sell a wide range of art books.

Buckingham Palace is both the office and home of the British monarchy. It is used for state ceremonial occasions, such as banquets for visiting heads of state. The State Rooms are open to the public in August and September. These State Rooms are beautifully decorated. The Queen’s Gallery has one of the best art collections in the world. The Gallery is open daily and the public can see beautiful displays of paintings, drawings, antiques, and furniture. Regular exhibitions are also held here.
