1.Compaq Presario CQ5110F: We have always been fans of Compaq desktop computers because of their competitive price and excellent value for money. The Compaq Presario CQ5110F comes with a number of impressive specifications. There is a 2.5 Ghz processor (AMD Athlon), 3 GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive. It also has an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE graphics card. It ships with a keyboard and mouse. Currently, it retails for around $328. What a bargain!
2.Apple Mac Desktop Mini MB463LL/A:This model has a 2.0Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 120GB hard drive. The specifications are not exactly the best that money can buy, but the star features of this model are in its design and form. The CPU unit is only 2″ tall and measures 6.5″ square inches. Despite its lackluster specs, we’re smitten by its small size and sleek design. At the time this article was written, they retail for about $577 each; a small premium for the style we say!
3. Desktop Gateway SX2800-01: Gateway is also another popular brand that is synonymous with great value. This model has an Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33 Ghz processor, 4 GB of RAM and a huge 640 GB hard drive. The competent specifications of the Gateway SX2800-01 are also complemented by its excellent performance. It did a very good job running heavy applications like Photoshop and its multitasking speed is faster than many other desktop models in its class. This is one of our favorite desktop models this year (so far). It currently retails for around $439 each. It even comes with a pair of stereo speakers.
