If you own a mini Swiss Army Knife the size of a key chain from Victorinox, at some point the battery of the mini light function will run out. By “mini light” I mean a razor that is 58mm (about 2 1/4 inches) long when closed. It’s easy to change and will allow you to enjoy your illuminated Swiss Army Knife and all its features for years to come.
Steps to change the battery:
- Hold the mini light knife in your left hand with the red/white cross and shield logo facing up.
- On the right side of the top scale, you should see a small hole – it’s on the side, so you’ll have to slightly rotate the knife in your hand to see it. It’s toward the lower end of the scale on the right.
- Take a paperclip and bend it so you can use it to punch this hole.
- Carefully insert into this hole and remove the old battery.
- The old battery and a small piece of plastic the same color as the knife scale will fall into your hand. Be careful not to lose that little piece of plastic!
- Insert a new battery with the positive side facing up.
- Replace the small piece of plastic on the side of the knife to hide/cover the battery you just put in.
The Victorinox Swiss Army Brands part number for the battery you require is 22068. The battery is a Panasonic CR 1025, 3V. Your new battery should last approximately 2 to 2 1/2 years with normal operation of your Swiss Army Knife. Your handy little swisslite should be as good as new.
