I can’t stress this enough to my friends and people I talk to about Android apps in general. Most of the best Android apps are the free ones. This is true for almost all app categories and Android entertainment apps are not one of the exceptions!
I’ve heard from a lot of people who are basically paralyzed by the sheer size of the Android Market. My advice to them and pretty much everyone else: When you have half an hour of spare time, download a couple of free Android apps and check them out. If you like them, keep them; if you don’t, well, there’s a lot more to like. The trick is to reduce the tens of thousands of Android apps into chunks you can manage. In fact, that’s my goal with all these articles.

I’ll admit it; this android app is one of my “guilty pleasures”. It probably shouldn’t be, but it is and I really can’t help it. This app will satisfy the traveler in you as you keep up with the latest news from minor celebrities. Hey, if you’re going to get a “celebrity news” app, why not get the best one? And, in my opinion, this is hands down the best!
AK-47
Pretty much what the name of this app says, this app allows you to shoot your Android phone like an AK-47. This is one of those apps that you wouldn’t think is worth downloading; but, truth be told, it’s surprisingly funny.
The unsheathed Schwartz
If there’s a simulated weapon on my list, why not have a “Schwartzsabre”? This app is a must have for all Star Wars fans. Well, it could be… I’m not that kind of person, haha. Anyway, I know a lot of “those people” and they all have this app and love it! So if you like Star Wars, this is an Android app that you will enjoy.
Mobile TV Guide
This app allows you to have an updated TV guide on your phone for when you need to check the guide. It’s also a good source of fun TV-related articles to read. If you’re a couch potato like most of us, this Android entertainment app should be on your phone… Yesterday!
fandango movies
In my opinion, this is one of the top 5 free Android entertainment apps. It’s Fandango! If you don’t know what it is, you should download it right away and start being amazed at what this app can do. I love going to the movies and just need this app for all my movie needs whatever they may be.
smoky window
This Android app is tied for the most useless app on this list. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not fun… Basically, you can choose the background photo, then cover it with steam and clean it with your fingers. It perfectly replicates the steam shower or window door, complete with moving water droplets!
funny jokes
This is one of the best free Android apps available to find awesome jokes. This app categorizes all jokes into 12 categories (including the very popular Chuck Norris Facts), so if you don’t want to see a particular type of joke, you never have to!
Zedge Ringtones and Wallpapers
This free Android entertainment app offers too many ringtones and wallpapers to count. There are currently over 16 million Zedge members, so they must have hit something! Your ringtones and wallpapers will never be boring or ordinary again thanks to this app.
Official FMyLife FML
This app is highly addictive! You have been warned. Whenever I’m having a bad day, I just check the posts on this app and it doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Basically, people from all over the world post about the not-so-good things that happened to them recently and other users “rate” their posts. You can literally waste hours and hours reading the posts and comments on this app. If you don’t have time to waste, stay away from this Android entertainment app!
magic 8 ball
This app brings the Magic 8 Ball that most of us remember asking questions as kids with a vengeance! There are tons of extra features that we could only have dreamed of as kids that make this app truly “one of the best”. If you need help answering that tough question in the future, you know where to turn: the Magic 8 Ball!
