This is a must visit place when you come to Killarney and here you have to visit the Muckross house which is located in the national park overlooking the lakes of Killarney. This Victorian manor house is owned by Henry Arthur Herbert who built it in the year 1839. Queen Victoria visited this house during the year 1861. Now it is a museum. As part of the house you have the traditional farmhouses which will show you what rural Ireland was like during the early part of the 20th century.
